Privacy Policy

This policy describes how Nichestarter (Nichestarter, “we”) handles information when you use www.nichestarter.ai and the NicheReach Chrome extension. NicheReach is a Nichestarter product that helps you draft Reddit replies. It does not post on your behalf.

Who this covers

  • The Nichestarter website, accounts, billing, emails, and dashboards
  • The NicheReach Chrome extension, including its side panel and Reddit buttons

Information we collect

Account and contact information

When you sign in, we collect your email address. If you use Google sign-in, Google shares the email (and related OAuth tokens) needed to create or restore your Nichestarter session. You may also opt in to weekly report emails.

Authentication information

NicheReach stores your Nichestarter session tokens in Chrome local storage so you stay signed in. The website stores session cookies. We do not receive your Google password.

Product and project details you provide

If you add a NicheReach project, we store the name, website, description, pain points, target users, and subreddits you confirm. This profile is used only to generate drafts for you.

Website content from Reddit pages you open

When you ask NicheReach to analyze a thread or draft a reply, the extension reads the visible post: title, body, selected comments, subreddit, and URL. That content is sent to our servers so we can generate drafts. We do not read Reddit in the background or collect your full browsing history.

User activity in NicheReach

When you click Reddit’s Comment button after inserting a NicheReach draft, we record that a reply was posted (strategy, subreddit, timestamps) so we can enforce reply limits and the 9:1 safety score. Generating or inserting a draft is not counted until you actually post.

Website usage (Nichestarter.ai)

The website uses Google Analytics and Google Ads tags to understand traffic and measure ads. Payment card details are processed by Stripe. We do not store full card numbers.

How we use information

  • Authenticate you and keep your session
  • Generate thread analysis and reply drafts you request
  • Apply reply quotas, safety scoring, and subreddit-rule warnings
  • Send weekly reports if you opted in
  • Provide billing, support, and product improvements

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use NicheReach Reddit content to train public models for other companies. Draft generation is performed by our backend (Supabase Edge Functions and AI providers we contract) solely to fulfill your request.

Where information is stored

  • On your computer: Chrome local storage holds your session, dashboard preferences, and the last Reddit thread you used. A short-lived session cache keeps recent drafts on the device.
  • On our servers: Account, project, quota, and posted-reply records are stored with Supabase (our database and auth provider).

Sharing

We share data only with processors needed to run the product:

  • Supabase — authentication, database, and API hosting
  • AI model providers — to generate project analysis and reply drafts you request
  • Google — if you choose Google sign-in, and for website analytics/ads
  • Stripe — if you purchase a Nichestarter plan or NicheReach reply pack
  • Email delivery — if you opt in to reports

We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the service and our users.

Retention

We keep account and project data while your account is active. Thread draft caches on the device expire automatically (about 45 minutes). You can sign out of NicheReach to clear the local session. Contact us to request deletion of server-side account data.

Your choices

  • Sign out of the extension or website at any time
  • Turn off weekly report emails in NicheReach Account or on the website
  • Uninstall the Chrome extension to remove local extension storage
  • Email lu@baobab-tree.org to access, correct, or delete your account data

Chrome extension permissions

NicheReach requests only what it needs:

  • storage — save your session, settings, and recent thread context on the device
  • identity — complete Google sign-in in a Chrome identity popup
  • sidePanel — show the NicheReach dashboard
  • reddit.com — add draft buttons and read the thread you asked it to help with
  • nichestarter.ai and supabase.co — sign-in, drafts, and account data

NicheReach does not auto-post, does not scrape Reddit in the background, and does not execute remote code. You review every draft and click Reddit’s own Comment button to post.

Children

The service is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect their data.

Changes

We may update this policy. The “Last updated” date will change, and the current version will always be at https://www.nichestarter.ai/privacy.
