Scanlation Groups Locked Out of Naver Webtoon Raws by Anti-Piracy Watermarks and Account Bans

Summary

Volunteer and semi-pro scanlation groups report they 'can no longer extract Naver Raw manhwas' because Naver's high-security anti-piracy system watermarks pages and bans accounts on detection, inside or outside Korea. Teams like EZ Manga and O translations are 'in desperate need of new Naver Raw providers,' and the only remaining channels demand risky crypto payments and enforce temporary bans, leaving groups without a dependable source. The pain is intense (raw supply drying up strands whole projects mid-series) and largely unsolved — existing tools don't help teams obtain or organize raw source material, and the accessible grey-market options are unsafe and unreliable. This signals strong demand for legitimate, compliant sourcing and reliable pre-translation intake tooling for localization teams, rather than the current scramble.
