Creative Proposals and Blueprints Stolen During Pitching, Left With No IP Protection

Independent artists, designers, and small creative studios must share detailed proposals—creative concepts, technical architecture, and scope—to win paid work, but potential clients routinely ghost them, then hand the fully-formed blueprint to cheaper freelancers who execute it line by line. The creator is 'completely burned': they did the unpaid intellectual labor and lost the job. No practical solution exists to protect pre-award creative work. Standard PDFs and Notion/cloud links grant zero enforceable protection, watermarking is trivial to strip, and once the idea is disclosed it becomes nearly impossible to prove or police ownership. Existing contracts rarely cover pre-engagement pitches, and legal action against vague 'inspiration' is prohibitively expensive for small operators.
