No Genuinely Private, Local Transcription Option — Forced into Cloud and Generative-AI Tools

Privacy-conscious users, professionals, and even casual transcribers are deeply frustrated that virtually every transcription tool on the market is either cloud-based or wrapped in opaque generative-AI branding. Users who care about environmental impact, consent for training data, and — most importantly — keeping sensitive audio on their own machine are left with no clear, trustworthy path.
