• Founders Feel Gaslit by AI Agents: Can't Tell If the Work Is Genuinely Real or a Superficial 'Hello World' That Only Looks Done

  Builders using AI agents report a deep, anxiety-producing trust gap: the output 'superficially seems to be what we want but is more or less the hello world example' and is not robust to real-world use, yet they are pressured to ship fast and are 'uncomfortable delivering solutions that I only partially understand.' They cannot reconcile the promise of running 4–10 parallel agents with their own reality of staying in the loop because 'the code generated is the means to discover what to do.' The pain is felt as gaslighting — an inability to know what is real versus fake progress — and it maps directly onto the GTM context where a solo founder 'never knows if it's working or when to stop.' There is no mechanism to force a verdict on whether an agent's output is trustworthy, verified, and worth continuing, so founders either over-trust superficial results or stall in endless manual review. This verification/trust gap for agent output is unsolved and uniquely painful for anyone building or running an agent-native skill.
