• Students cannot track assignments because schools dropped planners and teachers use the LMS inconsistently — with no cross-course, normalized assignment calendar

  Schools phased out written agendas (which taught task-tracking as a learn-to-learn skill) and replaced them with Google Classroom, but usage is completely unstandardized: some teachers post structured units, others run a 'free-for-all' where assignments appear with no due date, no unit outline, and no advance overview. The result is that a sixth-grader — including one with an IPP — is 'so overwhelmed' he cannot track his work, forgets tasks between home and school, and his parent finds the LMS 'impossibly disorganized' and cannot compensate from outside. This is severe, widespread, and genuinely unsolved: LMS platforms are configured per-teacher with no enforcement of due dates or unit structures, no tool normalizes assignments across all courses into one reliable student-facing view, and there is no way to rebuild the daily 'write it in your agenda' ritual or to teach planning as an explicit skill. Existing tools (planners, LMS apps, generic to-do apps) each solve only a fragment and all depend on teacher consistency, so the burden falls entirely on students and parents. The same disorganization cascades into missing work, parent-teacher conflict, and IEP accommodations being used as a workaround rather than a fix.
