• AI-Agent Skill Setups Break Down with Context Bloat, Conflicting Skills, and Bad Routing — Leaving Founders Without the Right Capability for the Task

  Founders and builders who rely on AI coding agents (Cursor, Claude Code, Codex) and install skills/AGENTS files increasingly discover that 'more skills and instructions don't mean better results.' Loading too many skills produces context bloat, overlapping and conflicting guidance, bad routing, and unnecessary tool access, and a model update can silently break a previously working setup. The evidence is explicit: the same author built a whole dispatcher because 'more agents, skills, and instructions don't automatically mean better results... the goal isn't to build the largest skill library, it's to load less, but load the right things,' and even reported keyword routing collapsing as the capability library grew (agent top-1 of only 23/162).
