• Prop-firm and broker drawdown/margin math is opaque and inconsistent, causing sudden rule breaches and liquidations traders never saw coming

  Traders are being wiped out by margin and drawdown calculations they cannot verify. One prop firm trader on a '4% static daily drawdown' account was breached because the firm silently reset the day's starting equity to the prior profit peak ('higher of balance or equity'), turning a supposedly static limit into a hidden trailing one — the system auto-closed a trade that never even hit the stop. Separately, a retail beginner trading a cautious 0.01 lot on EUR was liquidated anyway, losing their entire small account without understanding why. The core failure is that the exact numbers that decide whether an account survives — daily loss limits, margin, pip/point value, leverage sensitivity — are buried in fine print, inconsistent between firms, and impossible for the trader to compute or cross-check in real time. No free tool lets a trader model a specific firm's rules, compute their true remaining daily/drawdown room, and get warned before a breach. The result is unexpected account termination, lost payouts, and severe financial and emotional damage, especially for prop-firm and funded-account traders who bet their careers on these numbers.
