• Open AI Models Ship as Fragmented, Incompatible Repos — Users Drown in Dependency Hell and Juggling Separate Tools per Modality

  Anyone trying to actually use open AI models for audio (text-to-audio, music, TTS, stem separation) hits the same wall: every model ships as its own research repo with its own torch pin, its own environment, and no shared interface. Users are forced to maintain multiple incompatible toolchains just to compare a handful of models, and this fragmentation repeats across modalities — video models, image models, and agent frameworks all arrive as separate stacks. The result is hours lost to environment wrangling instead of creating, an inability to benchmark models side-by-side, and constant uncertainty about licensing/commercial terms buried on each model's card (with unclear terms defaulting to non-commercial and risking legal exposure). Current 'solutions' are single-maintainer wrappers that cover only one modality, so there is no unified workspace where a creator can generate video, images, audio, and conversational agents through one consistent UI and API. This is unsolved, painful, and exactly the gap a multi-modal platform (WeBot) promises to close — yet no credible unified, license-transparent, cross-modality layer exists today.
