Because the DPIA process stalls on basic questions of 'which systems hold this data and what happened to it,' useful AI-powered event photo and note-taking tools get blocked or abandoned entirely. No event-photo vendor ships transparent, verifiable data-retention and AI-training policies by default, so the due diligence burden falls on the organizer and kills adoption in the EU.
